Can jump rope be done at home?
One of the best aspects of jump rope is how little space you need! Jump rope can be done at home such as in your back garden, garage or spare room (e.g. your conservatory).
If you would like to jump rope at home, here are a few things to consider.
If you’re especially tall, be careful not to whip your ceiling with the rope. Skills like Double Unders might also result in this, so take note.
Before choosing where in your home to jump rope, make sure there is suitable flooring. Try your best to avoid jumping on even surfaces or carpets. Smooth hard floors such as wood, laminate or concrete are preferred. Alternatively, consider a jump rope mat if your options are limited.
Be vigilant of anything that could become a trip hazard such as loose cables, furniture, kid’s toys and the family pet!
